Moreover, the program also aims to develop research outputs in the form of innovative, inherently benign, integrated, and as well as interdisciplinary designs that are all geared towards advancing the scientific, technical, and policy knowledge of the people, which are all essential to further the goals of sustainability.

In line with that, the project specifically aims to achieve the following objectives:

a) maintain or improve human health and well-being

b) boost economic competitiveness

c) protect and preserve the environment by efficiently using water materials and energy, thereby reducing the emission of hazardous substances.

The program plans to grant up to 40 $15,000 awards, with its allocated project budget amounting to $1,050,000.
