The Health Resources and Services Administration, more commonly referred to as HRSA, is a federal government agency operating within the United States Department of Health and Human Services that's greatly responsible for improving access to health care services for people who are uninsured, isolated or medically vulnerable.

The grants and programs of the HRSA are all geared towards the achievement of its primary agency mission which is to "improve health and achieve health equity through access to quality services, a skilled health workforce and innovative programs."
In keeping with this mission, the Health Resources and Services Administration has recently announced the establishment of the Combating Autism Act Initiative: National Interdisciplinary Training Resource Center Program wherein it aims to solicit applications from eligible entities that seek to run and manage a National Interdisciplinary Training Resource Center.
The initiative was primarily instituted in an attempt to substantially enhance the health of infants, children, and adolescents who have, or are at risk for developing, autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities.
The beneficiaries of the program also extends to children with heating loss and those children who need special care and assistance.
