The Mount Sanford Tribal Consortium (MSTC) is a tribal consortium of two federally recognized Tribal Councils of Chistochina and Mentasta Lake.

The consortium was established on June 1992 under the joint effort between Chistochina and Mentasta Village with the hopes of improving and protecting the interests of the Upper Ahtna indigenous people.

The Mt. Sanford Tribal Consortium's mission is "With honor, dignity, and respect, empowering our people and enhancing our traditional values to ensure a healthier and more positive future for our children."

The National Park Services (NPS) is a US federal agency that is responsible for the country's national parks, national monuments, including other conservation and historical properties. The NPS also supports preservation of national parks by entering into cooperative agreements with tribal organizations.

The Mount Sanford Tribal Consortium is one of the tribal organizations qualified to enter into cooperative agreement with the NPS, as constituted under the Self-Governance Act.
