One other method of getting the money that you need to start your business is to find potential investors and allow them to invest in your business in a manner similar to how they would invest in a publicly traded company. Having investors can save you a lot of time that would otherwise be spent working out loan details, though, and often allows you more freedom in how you structure your business.
