The humanities are defined as academic disciplines that primarily study the human condition. It includes the study of Archaeology, Comparative Religion, Ethics, History, Languages & Linguistics, Literature, Jurisprudence, Philosophy, History, Theory, and Criticism of the Arts, and finally Aspects of the Social Sciences Which Use Historical or Philosophical Approach.

The field of humanities employs methods that are primarily analytical, critical, or speculative, as differentiated from the mainly empirical approaches of the natural sciences.

In essence, the humanities is basically a way of interconnecting people, building linkages from generations and generations of people and cultures who have existed with and before each other.

It allows the people of the present to describe and understand how their ancestors lived. It enables them to distinguish what is essential in their current lives and what they can do to make things better.

In this regard, the field of humanities connects tribes, communities, and countries. And as a result, it helps us address the challenges that we face as individuals, as families, as communities, and as citizens of the United States of America.
