4) The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (or CDC) - the department that is geared towards protecting public health and safety by way of providing information to dramatically improve health decisions and promote health and welfare through the formation of partnerships with state health departments and other capable organizations.

9) The Health Resources and Services Administration (or HRSA) - the branch of the HHS that is designed to improve the nation's access to health care services, especially for those who are uninsured, isolated or medically vulnerable.

10) Indian Health Service (IHS) - the branch of the HHS that is responsible for the provision of medical and public health services to the members federally recognized Tribes and Alaska Natives.

11) The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) - the department that funds and encourages research studies that are designed to enhance the quality and outcomes of health care, lessen its costs, provide solutions concerning patient safety and medical errors, and broaden access to effective services.
