The Health Resources and Services Administration(HRSA), under the supervision of the Department of Health and Human Services, is the country's premier agency for citizens who are insured, isolated, or medically vulnerable.

In keeping with this purpose, the HRSA mainly focuses on administering health care grants to eligible individuals, in order to help them obtain safe and quality care. The HRSA has recently developed the competitive Affordable Care Act Capital Development - Immediate Facility Improvements program, which gives funding opportunities to existing grantees of the Health Center Program as they address immediate and pressing financial needs, such as alteration/renovation projects at an existing facility, installation of life safety requirements at an existing facility, associated work required to modernize, improve, and/or reconfigure the interior arrangements or other physical characteristics of a facility.

The Affordable Care Act Capital Development - Immediate Facility Improvements Program will award approximately $100 million to 250-300 existing eligible Health Center Program Grantees.  (continued...)
