The Keystone Government Loan Program is somewhat similar to the Keystone Home Loan Program, aside from the fact that in the former, the eligibility requirements are determined by the respective participating lenders, instead of the PHFA. Also, the PHFA income limits will not be observed, and borrowers may or may not be first time homebuyers.

If you are interested in applying for the Keystone Government Loan Program, all you have to do is contact a PHFA participating lender, and inquire about the requirements and the necessary paperwork.

However, if you have a credit score that is below 660, you will have to undergo a homebuyer education seminar prior to the closing of the loan.

In addition, the program also offers another program that can be used in conjunction with it, the Keystone Government Assistance Loan. The Keystone Government Assistance Loan is a zero-interest second loan that can be utilized to cover the downpayment and closing costs.

Under this program, first time homebuyers can receive loan funds in the amount of $2,000 while non-first time homebuyers can receive loan funds amounting to $1,000.
