The SBA's efforts are guided by their overall agency mission, which is "to maintain and strengthen the nation's economy by enabling the establishment and viability of small businesses and by assisting in the economic recovery of communities after disasters."
In keeping with all its programs and objectives, the Small Business Administration constituted the Program for Investment in Micro-Entrepreneurs(PRIME) Technical Assistance.
The Program for Investment in Micro-Entrepreneurs Technical Assistance Program is designed to decrease the number of disadvantaged micro-entrepreneurs by helping them enhance their management capabilities, by way of providing them with technical assistance and training in the areas concerning activities that are associated with starting, expanding and growing their businesses.
The PRIME Technical Assistance Program also aims to provide training and capacity building services to various low-income entrepreneurs in order to help them gain access to more capital and help them expand their businesses.
