Pawnbrokers work along similar lines, offering cash loans in exchange for personal property such as cameras, jewelry, or electronics. They will hold your property for a month, after which you either need to make a partial payment to extend the contract or pay the loan in full and reclaim your property. One option for this is to get an auto title loan, which grants the lender a legal claim to the title of your vehicle as collateral for the loan. These loans are based upon the value of your vehicle, and if not repaid allow the lender to repossess the vehicle and put it up for sale.

Some banks and finance companies will also be willing to approve a loan for people with bad credit, but collateral is required to secure the loan. This collateral is often in the form of a vehicle, real estate, or some form of collectable or jewelry… though any property of value will possibly be accepted.

These loans usually have higher interest rates than other loans, but can provide not only the money that you need but also the first step towards rebuilding your credit.
