In order to be deemed eligible to participate in this project, the applicant must:
a) Belong to a US and Non-US based institution, for-profit, non-profit or private voluntary organizations registered with USAID
b) Have a capacity to provide specialized technical assistance in nutrition and food security programming in USAID-assisted countries
c) Agree to work with and hire individuals who have the technical expertise to provide technical support to strengthen country specific nutrition and food security policies, strategies and programming
d) Have managerial, technical, and institutional capacities
e) Have the capacity to collaborate with other organizations in undertaking nutrition and food security programming across multiple areas including maternal child health and nutrition, HIV, agriculture, and humanitarian assistance.
The US Agency for International Development is a US federal agency that is mainly responsible for providing civilian foreign aid.
The agency also provides assistance, economic and humanitarian in nature, to more than 100 countries around the world in the hopes of securing a better future for human race.
